I'll advise you if going public now is the right thing for you to do. Many times it is not the right thing.

If you are going public to raise money: Do not go public unless you know that you will actually get the money.

Did you see the movie "Field of Dreams?" In my business, there is no such thing as the corollary to that movie?s tag line: "If you build it, they will come." "If I'm public, money magically will rain down on me from the sky." I've never seen money rain from the sky on any company just because they went public, and I?ve been doing this over 30 years.

You shouldn't hire me or anyone else to take your company public unless you've talked to potential investors who have agreed to invest in your company if you go public.
